Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiology

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working 12-hour shifts in our 24-bed Cardiology unit. As a Registered Nurse - Cardiology, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. You will also document patient care given and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
  • Document patient care given.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire, ACLS and PALS within six months of hire, and one year of experience preferred. ASLS certification is also preferred.
