Furnace Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Furnace Operator & Dock Technician to join our team at Hoover & Strong. This individual will be responsible for measuring, grading, and loading raw materials into furnaces and smelting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload shipments, maintaining accurate records
• Operate furnaces and smelting equipment, ensuring efficient and safe production
• Perform equipment maintenance, including furnace and filtration system maintenance
• Communicate with the lead to determine project status and ensure timely completion
• Measure and record data with accuracy for input into internal job tracking systems

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to follow safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and federal and state regulations
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and able to ensure accuracy and accountability
