About the Role
HCA Florida Blake Hospital is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and investing in the latest technology to support our nurses in their work. We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Burn Unit team, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient condition during admission and throughout their stay, identifying and reporting any changes in their status.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for therapeutic response, notifying providers and intervening as necessary.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations before procedures, including review of medical history and diagnostic tests, as well as physical and psychological assessments.
- Engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals, and Teach-Back.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, ensuring patients, physicians, and colleagues have a clear understanding of all communications.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse licensure.
- Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree.
