Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at the Minnesota Veterans Homes. As a key member of our oral health program, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene and preventative services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dental hygiene and preventative services to residents, including routine cleanings, exams, and education on oral health.
  • Develop and implement a recare program to ensure consistent and high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with a contracted team of dentists to provide comprehensive oral health services.
  • Train and support direct care staff on proper brushing and hygiene techniques.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the oral health program.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Dental Hygienist in the state of Minnesota.
  • Experience working with geriatric populations and providing oral health services in a long-term care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
