Perfusion Specialist

Overview

Catholic Health is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and quality services. As a Perfusionist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients undergoing open-heart surgery.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing advanced methods for extra corporeal circulation, cardio-pulmonary bypass management, and setup and operation of the extra-corporeal circuit and advanced life support systems.

Responsibilities:

• Providing safe and effective perfusion services for open-heart patients
• Managing cardio-pulmonary bypass systems and extra-corporeal circuits
• Setting up and calibrating physiological monitoring and auto-transfusion systems
• Maintaining proper perfusion documentation and records

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Graduation from a CAHEA-approved perfusion training program
• Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
• NYS Perfusionist certification
