About the Unit

We provide care for long-term care residents and post-acute rehab patients. Our nurse-patient ratios vary depending on the shift and population served. Each unit focuses on patient specialties, such as general rehab, neuro rehab, traumatic brain injuries, and cancer. Our center offers various programs for residents to participate in, including music therapy, expressive arts, and a garden room.

About Our Center

The Rehabilitation & Nursing Center – Cedar was designed with the word "home" in mind. Our home is more spacious than our previous facility and boasts many new amenities, including four interior courtyards, a new dining room, on-site dialysis, an art room, private and semiprivate rooms with their own window, restroom, and shower, modern furnishings, and new technology, to make our community members feel at home.

Scope of Work

As a team member, you will deliver quality, direct patient care. You will perform basic skills per department guidelines and communicate observations to the healthcare team. You will provide direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit. Your responsibilities will include direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients, including dressing, bathing, transporting, and feeding. You will document care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, you must:

  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Have completed a State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course
  • Be PROMETRIC Certified Nursing Assistant within 90 days
  • Have AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
