Opportunity Overview
We are in search of a dedicated and experienced professional in Sustainable Technologies to become a part of our dynamic team. This position is vital for driving the company's initiatives in sustainability, focusing on the identification, coordination, and execution of eco-friendly projects within our industrial manufacturing and commercial sectors. Your contributions will significantly enhance our commitment to environmental responsibility and operational excellence through cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of utility systems in commercial and industrial settings, along with substantial experience in conducting energy assessments, analyzing performance data, and implementing innovative energy-saving projects.
International travel may be necessary, and while onsite presence is preferred, we are open to a hybrid work arrangement for the right candidate. Onsite engagement will be required based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
•Effective Communication: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at various levels, ensuring clear and impactful communication regarding project objectives and progress. Simplify complex concepts for better understanding and alignment. Candidates should exhibit strong communication skills to engage effectively with both operational teams and senior management, utilizing interpersonal skills to navigate organizational dynamics for successful collaboration on sustainability initiatives.
•Efficiency Assessments: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of utility and building systems, including but not limited to boilers, chillers, water management systems, lighting, and HVAC. Analyze data, gather pertinent information, and evaluate the overall efficiency of these systems. Identify opportunities for enhancement in energy and water usage and propose actionable solutions.
•Project Formulation: Work alongside cross-functional teams to create detailed project proposals and develop well-researched, data-informed recommendations aimed at improving efficiency, minimizing waste, and optimizing water usage.
•Project Management: Supervise the implementation of approved efficiency enhancement projects, ensuring adherence to proposed specifications, timelines, and budgets.
•Performance Monitoring: Continuously track the progress and effectiveness of efficiency projects, analyzing data and producing regular reports to assess performance and return on investment.
•Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with internal experts to ensure all projects meet relevant regulations and safety standards, maintaining a secure working environment throughout project execution.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or a related discipline. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
•8+ years of demonstrated experience in energy efficiency, utility management, or sustainability within industrial or commercial contexts.
•Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial utility systems, such as boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, and lighting.
•Familiarity with water reuse systems, including water treatment and wastewater management.
•Proven project management capabilities, with a track record of leading projects from inception to completion.
•Commitment to remaining updated on advancements in energy efficiency technologies and sustainability practices.
•Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools.
•Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
•Passion for sustainability and a drive to create a positive environmental impact.
•Highly developed computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, PowerBI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
•Knowledge of FM Global and safety standards in industrial settings is advantageous.
•CEM or other relevant certifications, along with familiarity with industry codes and standards, are highly desirable. PMP certification is a plus.
