Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Operations Manager to join our team at Omni Hotels. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping and laundry functions, ensuring that our high standards of cleanliness and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Departmental Functions: Assist the Director of Housekeeping with opening and closing shifts, maintaining turnover levels, uniform control, monthly meetings, quality assurance, linen and supply inventories, and purchasing.
  • Guest Relations: Resolve guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, demonstrating excellent hospitality skills.
  • Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with all departments and guests to ensure consistent service and quality.
  • Efficiency and Effectiveness: Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and efficiency, participating in the Omni Service Tradition program.
  • Staff Management: Assist with staff scheduling, Kronos, and payroll cost controls, as well as interviewing, hiring, and training new associates.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate levels are maintained.
  • Maintenance and Reporting: Report maintenance issues through Synergy and prepare and complete all necessary reports.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee the Housemen and Laundry Department, ensuring they are working effectively and completing daily duties and special projects.
  • Energy Conservation: Participate in energy conservation efforts and maintain a clean and well-maintained work environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous housekeeping supervisory experience required, with experience in hospitality preferred.
  • Skills: Highly motivated, ability to multi-task, work independently, communicate effectively (verbal and written), and lead, motivate, and develop others.
  • Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends.
