Electrical Systems Specialist

At Justrite Manufacturing, we are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems, heating and air units; working from a technical blueprint. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the highest level of safety and quality in your work, adhering to all relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and study blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of installations and/or repairs.
- Use hand tools, such as hammers, drills, saws, screw guns, metal shears, utility knives, framing squares, and edging tools, to perform electrical work.
- Install, repair, maintain motors, lights, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Operate various electrical testing equipment to locate and determine types of electrical malfunctions.
- Participate in cross-functional teams for Continuous Improvement.
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using rulers and hand tools.
- Drill holes for wiring and pull or push wiring through openings.
- Conduct inspections and perform repairs as needed.
- Work on ladders or heights of building structures using proper fall equipment.
Requirements:
- Have a great attitude and be willing to grow with the company.
- Diligently follow safe work practices for yourself and team members at all times.
- Knowledge of electrical applications for high and low-voltage electric systems.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Prefer experience with explosion-proof components.
- Ability to work in a flexible team environment with job rotation as needed.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of measurements using a tape measure.
Working Conditions:
- Able to lift and carry 50 pounds to waist and overhead.
- Ability to use ladders at least 10 feet off the ground.
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, stand, and walk up to 10 hours per day.
- Wear all required PPE, including steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
- Good physical condition and endurance.
- Ability to work in high-heat conditions.
