We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Surgical and Digestive Care Unit at Gundersen Health System. As a Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to provide specialized, complex care to patients while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the Surgical and Digestive Care Unit. This will include collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop a patient-centered plan of care, providing competent and innovative patient care and education, and documenting nursing assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and patient/family response.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physiological, emotional, sociocultural, spiritual, and financial status while considering lifestyle preferences and learning needs.
- Develop a patient-centered plan of care to promote health and optimize wellness.
- Provide competent and innovative patient care and education based on patient complexity, acuity, and nursing judgment.
- Document nursing assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and patient/family response.
- Determine patients' progress toward achieving goal(s) and revise plan of care in collaboration with patient/family as needed.
- Associate degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed minimally in the state of practice.
- Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands-on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Starting pay of $37.08/hour + more for experience.
