Job Summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our pediatric team in Justice, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients, including ventilation, oxygen therapy, and medication administration.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Operate specialized ventilators and other respiratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and maintenance.
  • Conduct pulmonary diagnostics, chest radiographs, and other assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide education and instruction to patients and families on respiratory care, disease management, and self-care techniques.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to respiratory care.
Requirements
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 12 months OR active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential issued by the NBRC if credential received prior to January 1, 2019.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
