Job Title: EMS Instructor

Job Summary: Fox Valley Technical College is seeking a qualified EMS Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching EMS courses and providing high-quality instruction to students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EMS education and experience in teaching and training.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, and implement instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assist and advise students with academic and career concerns.
  • Research and develop skills assessments to evaluate student performance.
  • Promote student success through timely communication and growth-based feedback.
  • Comply with college policies and directions regarding student testing and record keeping.
  • Meet professional expectations by maintaining currency and contributing to a collaborative culture.
  • Attend division and department meetings as requested.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of occupational experience in EMS, with at least one year within five years prior to hire.
  • Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
  • Lead EMS licensure courses approved to teach.

  • Knowledge of current educational methods and strategies.
  • Skilled in the use of educational technology and alternative delivery methods.
  • Knowledge and ability to infuse multicultural perspectives into course content and delivery.
  • Skilled in communications and human relations with diverse populations.


Additional Information: Hourly pay rate: $45.00 per hour. Pay is based on a multitude of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, relevant certifications, internal equity, and market data.
