Job Summary

This is a part-time position responsible for setting the tone for the dining experience at Cigar City Brewing. The Host is a friendly, courteous, and enthusiastic individual who champions great service by making customers feel comfortable from the moment they walk in the door.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized host desk.
  • Coordinate all activities at the host desk, including seating customers and managing front desk responsibilities.
  • Answer the restaurant phone in a friendly manner and provide assistance and answers to customers' questions.
  • Take and assemble to-go orders with 100% accuracy.
  • Provide timely feedback to customers on the status of their table, especially during peak times.
  • Understand liquor license regulations and direct customers to the appropriate sections.
  • Assist co-workers and managers on duty in all aspects of ALOHA operations.
  • Maintain retail and to-go beer areas, including setting up, cleaning, restocking, and maintaining the retail area.
  • Adhere to all DABC and identification laws.
  • Demonstrate leadership and teamwork while working respectfully with all team members.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of liquor laws and compliance.
  • Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees.
  • Ability to work all days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Physical and Mental Requirements

This position requires the physical and mental strength and endurance to perform duties in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. The ability to frequently lift and move 10-25 pounds is also required.

This position requires the ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
