Overview:

We're looking for a talented individual to join our fast-paced retail team at fastmarket. As a key member of our store team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment, and ensuring seamless sales operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service Expert: Deliver outstanding customer experiences by being approachable, knowledgeable, and friendly. Assist customers with their queries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  2. Sales Floor Manager: Maintain a well-stocked and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring that products are easily accessible and displayed attractively. Monitor inventory levels, restock shelves as needed, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  3. Upselling Specialist: Develop a deep understanding of our products and services, and use this knowledge to suggest relevant items to customers, enhancing their shopping experience and driving sales growth.
  4. Brand Ambassador: Champion our brand by promoting our loyalty rewards program, highlighting exclusive benefits, and engaging with customers to build a loyal community.
  5. Cash Handling Pro: Efficiently manage cash transactions, handle customer payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
  6. Safety Champion: Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
  7. Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth store operations, providing support and assistance as needed.
  8. Facility Maintenance Expert: Take pride in maintaining a clean and inviting store, including cleaning restrooms, tidying the store, emptying trash bins, and refilling window washing stations.
  9. Environmental Ambassador: Contribute to a positive environmental impact by actively participating in keeping our outdoor space clean and welcoming.

Qualifications:

  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older (21 in some states).
  • Availability: Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
  • Math Proficiency: Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
  • Personable and Positive: Friendly demeanor and ability to make people feel welcome.
