The Registered Nurse (RN) at Forrest General Hospital is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor/Patient Care Coordinator. As an RN, you will demonstrate expertise in assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize advanced clinical skills to provide comprehensive patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring timely and effective communication with healthcare teams.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with a current RN license in the State of Mississippi.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- One year of medical-surgical nursing experience, with a strong foundation in critical thinking, communication, and teamwork.
