Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist PRN will plan, organize, and provide professional services in restorative, functional, and preventative therapeutic programs to patients. Clinical practice includes evaluation and occupational therapy treatment planning to facilitate rehabilitation of the mentally, physically, or emotionally disabled person. The Occupational Therapist PRN will work closely with patients and family to establish and meet treatment goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients. Modify therapy programs and goals.
  • Perform thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enter charges accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, departmental coworkers, and members of the medical care team. Provide education to patients, family, and staff.
  • Supervise ancillary staff, students, and volunteers.
  • Advance clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review, and implementation of evidence-based practice.
  • Impart knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adhere to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain awareness of system goals. Align personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.
Requirements
  • Must possess excellent social relation skills, including excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate aptitude in assigned areas as specified for each clinician.
  • Exhibit proven face-to-face synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team and assure delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
  • Possess proficient computer knowledge; operate multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.
  • High attention to detail in fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.

Qualifications
  • EDUCATION - Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience.
  • CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Occupational Therapist (OT). Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
