Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing oversees the day-to-day operation of the perioperative department at The Hospitals of Providence - Sierra Campus. This includes assistance with supervision of all personnel, procedures, ordering of supplies and equipment, and managing the schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively manage multiple priorities and supervise multiple areas.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Supervise and assist in the development of personnel to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Manage the ordering and inventory of supplies and equipment to ensure efficient operation of the department.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Academic degree in nursing (bachelor's or master's degree) required.
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related field (health administration, business, public health, or management) preferred.
- At least 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
- Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice as a nurse in the state of practice.
- CPR certification required.
