About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team in Des Moines, IA. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Med Surg Pulmonary unit environment
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
  • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with family members and caregivers
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in Med Surg nursing
  • Pulmonary patient care experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Current BLS certification
