Job Summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. This is a contingent position, working 12 hour night shifts at our Henry Ford Providence Park location in Novi, MI.

Key Responsibilities

Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.

Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.

Perform advanced respiratory care modalities. Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.

Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.

Requirements

Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

3-5 years of ICU experience preferred. NICU experience a plus.

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association accepted.

Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
