Cybersecurity Specialist for Nuclear Surety and Certification

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at the Air Force Civilian Service. As a key member of our nuclear surety and certification division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our ground launch weapon systems.

About the Role:

The Supervisory IT Specialist (001042481M) is responsible for leading all aspects of nuclear surety and certification for ground launch weapon systems. This position requires a strong background in nuclear surety principles, methods, and techniques, as well as experience in assessing systems and writing technical nuclear safety analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time
  • Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set short- and long-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work
  • Oversee the activities of the Ground Launched Nuclear Surety and Certification Team, including review and approval of certification and compatibility requirements plans, verification evidence, independent nuclear surety evaluations, and technical nuclear safety analyses
  • Provide expert advice to senior colleagues and agency officials responsible for broad program operations

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of nuclear surety and certification experience
  • Experience leading teams of nuclear surety, compatibility, cybersecurity, and certification subject matter experts
  • Subject matter expertise in Nuclear Surety policies for nuclear weapon safety and security with in-depth knowledge of DoD 3150.02, 91 series AFIs/AFMANs, and AFI 63-125
  • Demonstrated experience assessing systems and writing Technical Nuclear Safety Analyses, assessing Nuclear Safety Cross-Check Analysis, and writing/coordinating Nuclear Certification Impact Statements, and Nuclear Safety Evaluation Reports
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of weapon system stakeholders
