O'Neal Steel is in search of an Operations Manager for our Birmingham, AL facility.

The Operations Manager will oversee the establishment and maintenance of a framework that ensures warehouse and delivery operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and innovatively. Essential responsibilities include driving continuous improvement strategies, fostering collaboration, minimizing costs, and supporting employee development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement frameworks for operational excellence
  • Recruit, interview, and train warehouse personnel
  • Monitor and manage operational costs
  • Prioritize safety and accident prevention
  • Develop procedures to optimize plant operations
  • Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate employee advancement
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations

Essential Skills:

  • At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License

Education: An Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
