Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Polyurethane Rubber Technician to join our team at TSE Industries Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting quality control and physical testing of polyurethane materials, including polyurethane rubber, mold release agents, and other related products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality control and physical testing of polyurethane materials, including polyurethane rubber, mold release agents, and other related products.
  • Follow written ISO procedures for analysis and testing.
  • Test and analyze products to determine strength, stability, purity, chemical content, and other characteristics.
  • Document results of test and analysis accurately and neatly on written worksheets and computer hardcopies.
  • Prepare chemical solutions for use in processing materials, following standardized formulas or experimental procedures.
  • Inventory lab supplies and chemicals.
  • Notify proper authorities of lab results and record findings as necessary on batch sheets.
  • Verify incoming raw materials with Raw Material Specifications.
Requirements
  • High school or GED, or at least five years laboratory work experience in polyurethane rubber technology and quality control testing.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel or have sufficient training in Word and/or Excel.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and written form.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, Material Safety Data Sheets, written instructions, and procedure manuals.
Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may encounter dust, dirt, and oil. The employee must wear protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses, and a lab coat, as appropriate for the task being performed.

The employee will work with sensitive instruments, heavy machinery (mills and presses), and toxic, caustic, and corrosive chemicals.

Compensation

The compensation for this position is $18-20 per hour.
