About the Position: Ohio University Regional Campuses is seeking part-time instructors to teach a variety of in-person biological sciences courses at the undergraduate level.

Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching BIOS courses from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term. Opportunities may include teaching in-person/face-to-face, hybrid, or via technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach BIOS courses, including human biology, anatomy and physiology, and microbes and humans
  • Develop and implement effective course materials and assessments
  • Maintain accurate records and meet reporting requirements
  • Participate in departmental activities and contribute to curriculum development

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Biology or closely related content area at time of application and a cohesive set of 18 semester credit hours of discipline-relevant graduate coursework
  • Possible PhD in Biology with experience teaching undergraduate courses and a statement on teaching philosophy
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with students and colleagues

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $4,000 - $6,000 per term, depending on qualifications and experience.

Benefits: This part-time position is eligible for sick leave and retirement benefits.

Work Environment: Candidates should be prepared to work in various locations across Ohio, including Chillicothe, Eastern, Lancaster, Southern, and Zanesville campuses.
