Lead Security Officer

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Security Officer is responsible for overseeing the safety and security of the facility.

This role involves conducting regular inspections of the premises, including monitoring environmental conditions such as trailer and room temperatures, as well as securing entry and exit points.

The Lead Security Officer will manage the flow of personnel and vehicle traffic, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities also include operating the switchboard during off-hours, managing billing processes for incoming loads, and adhering to company policies and procedures.

This position may require operating company vehicles and inspecting incoming trailers for cleanliness and functionality.

Additionally, the Lead Security Officer will assist in receiving shipments of supplies and raw materials and provide support to the Security Department as needed.

In the absence of the Security Supervisor, this role will take on supervisory responsibilities.

The position typically requires working 2nd or 3rd shifts, with occasional 1st shift duties as necessary.




REQUIREMENTS:

- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; bilingual skills are advantageous.

- Strong computer literacy is preferred.

- Ability to walk over one mile on various terrains and in all weather conditions, including navigating stairs.

- Capable of completing tasks independently without direct supervision.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Keen attention to detail and a professional demeanor at all times.

- Flexibility to work any assigned shift.

- Previous security experience is beneficial.

- Minimum educational requirement is a High School diploma or GED.
