About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caring Assistant to join our team at The Good Samaritan Society in Taylors Falls, MN. As a member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to seniors in our Assisted Living facility.

Job Summary

The Caring Assistant will serve as a caregiver to residents during scheduled work periods, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. This includes assisting with basic health care needs, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support. Additionally, the CNA may aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures and/or collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide psychosocial support and emotional comfort to residents
  • Aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures, such as collecting non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathering vital signs
  • Document outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Communicate changing conditions, medication follow-up, and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
  • A minimum age of 16
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in assisted living preferred
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
  • Satisfactorily complete yearly department-specific competency testing and maintain a record of continuing education credits for each year

Estimated Salary Range
