Overview:
The Surgical/Med-Surg Unit at Mercy Hospital Ardmore is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that offers a unique opportunity for nurses to develop their skills and expertise. As a member of our team, you will work closely with patients who are recovering from surgery, providing individualized care and support to ensure their comfort and well-being.
Our unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a team of experienced healthcare professionals who are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. We are committed to creating a positive and supportive work environment that fosters growth and development for all our staff members.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing wound care, and monitoring vital signs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments
Requirements:
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis; Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift; Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Can be a new or experienced RN
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
