Position Overview
In this role, you will manage specific business deliverables for a designated division or across multiple divisions. You will take ownership of reporting on profitability and the associated balance sheets for your divisions.
Your expertise will provide essential support and guidance to colleagues facing complex challenges within the team.
As a recognized specialist in your business division, you will handle the more intricate and advanced accounting responsibilities.
Your focus will be on delivering high-quality service to key business partners and the group through effective collaboration with your team and relevant stakeholders.
It is essential to adhere to company policies and complete specific tasks within established timelines while maintaining an exceptional level of service for all Informa customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Prepare, reconcile, and analyze monthly management reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements, focusing on reconciliations, accruals, allocations, revenue downloads, pre-payments, variance analysis, and commentary.
- Conduct financial analysis.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Engage in financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, working capital management, Group Finance reporting, supplementary packs, and ad-hoc requests.
- Publish financial results using SAP FC.
- Facilitate communication between the Shared Services Center (SSC), Group Finance, and Business Teams.
- Participate in acquisition integration and due diligence activities.
- Contribute to projects within the SSC and department, including key process testing and systems.
- Assist in the accounting integration of new products into the SSC accounting framework and systems.
- Analyze and resolve ad-hoc issues utilizing business and systems knowledge.
- Conduct Work in Progress (WIP) analysis, product costing, and provisions (e.g., stock).
- Process intercompany transactions.
- Review bad debt, accruals, and prepayment calculations.
- Handle treasury postings and reconciliations.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and analysis of direct cost bases and divisional recharges (specific to the Global Support team).
- Perform tax and compliance duties as required by your SSC.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Record to Report (R2R) processes relevant to your area.
- Proficient knowledge of Oracle systems.
- Familiarity with best practices in an R2R environment.
- Preferred recognized qualification or accounting degree (specific to SSC).
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, internal departments, and key contacts.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Additional Information
Compensation for this position ranges from $72,000 to $82,000, depending on experience.
