Key Responsibilities

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the hospital. In this capacity, you will:

  • Lead hospital clinical operations, ensuring patient care is delivered effectively 24/7 through collaboration with directors and healthcare team members.
  • Exercise accountability for nursing care across all hospital settings.
  • Engage actively with the Community Board, Senior Leadership, Medical Staff, and hospital leaders to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Promote a team-oriented approach, prioritizing collective success over individual recognition to navigate the complexities of a highly matrixed organization.
  • Encourage transparency in all activities related to this role, celebrating achievements and learning from challenges.
  • Act as a change agent within the health system, driving urgency and innovation as a thought leader in the industry.
  • Demonstrate personal and professional accountability to the community, staff, physicians, and stakeholders for the performance of your team.
Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates should embody humankindness and possess the following qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (or other relevant disciplines with a BSN in nursing) is required.
  • Doctorate Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive clinical leadership experience in nursing is required.
  • Experience as a Chief Nursing Officer is preferred.
  • Active RN license to practice in CO, UT, or KS as applicable is required.
  • Nurse Executive Certification must be obtained within one year of hire or transfer to this role.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $157,320 - $204,495 annually.
