Colliers Engineering & Design is on the lookout for a Lead Survey Operations Manager to enhance our Survey team.

Gather information from various environments, including aerial, terrestrial, and subsurface, to deliver accurate data analysis and propel YOUR career towards becoming a future industry leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct independent field surveys or collaborate with other team members.
Oversee and manage all field survey operations on diverse projects, utilizing standard equipment and adhering to safety protocols.
Act as the site safety leader.
Plan and execute a broader range of field surveys within the defined project parameters and budget, employing the most effective techniques while complying with industry standards.
Engage with project site supervisors and client representatives.
Compile precise and comprehensive field notes and reports of daily activities promptly.
Perform in-field calculations for construction layout and various land surveys with moderate support from the office team.
Prepare cut sheets for construction tasks as necessary.
Assess and validate data collection processes.
Exhibit initiative in identifying and developing solutions to challenges encountered during projects.
Operate and maintain the survey vehicle according to company guidelines.
Transport, maintain, and utilize surveying instruments and equipment to prepare job sites for surveys.
Prepare or receive Health and Safety Checklists from the Project Manager, and instruct crew members on safety hazards and PPE requirements associated with the tasks performed.
Utilize and train others in the proper use of Total Stations, Data Collectors, GNSS, and other specialized surveying equipment for data collection.
Mentor field survey personnel to support their professional growth.
Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED or equivalent; an Associate's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
7+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role, or a graduate of an accredited four-year surveying program.
A valid Driver's license is required. CST level III certification is preferred. Ability to obtain a Drone License 107.
Advanced understanding of surveying methodologies and equipment.
Proficient in handling surveying tools and equipment.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing positively and respecting colleagues.
Strong mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry, for performing calculations.
Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities.
Willingness to travel overnight as required.
Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English for effective communication and instruction.
Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment drug screening and participate in the employer's random drug and alcohol testing program.
