Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Universal Banker/Teller to join our team at First Mid-Illinois Bancshares. As a key member of our banking team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling cash transactions, and promoting banking products to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Create a quality service experience by ensuring timely resolution to customer needs and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Cash Handling: Proficiently service customers by accepting and processing transactions with accuracy and efficiency within policy guidelines.
  • Product Promotion: Develop and maintain relationships with customers to promote banking products and services.
  • Operational Support: Maintain a cash drawer by performing daily balancing procedures and assist with daily operational branch duties.
  • Account Management: Open and manage customer accounts, including checking, savings, and safe deposit boxes.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all bank compliance, security, and operational policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Experience: 1+ year of customer service and cash handling experience, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer applications.
