Job Summary

The U S National Whitewater Center is seeking a skilled Raft Guide to deliver exceptional whitewater rafting experiences to our guests. As a Raft Guide, you will be responsible for leading groups down our Class II-IV whitewater river, providing instruction and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Whitewater Rafting Expeditions: Guide groups of guests down our whitewater river, providing expert instruction and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Interact with guests in a positive and professional manner, responding to their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Maintain Safety Standards: Perform daily safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and communicate with management to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other staff members to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests.
Requirements
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 17 years of age.
  • Certifications: First Aid, CPR & AED certification required.
  • Physical Demands: Must be comfortable working in and around water, able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds, and able to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

The Outdoor Activities Department is responsible for leading and supporting experiences in a variety of water and land-based sports. We strive to create memorable outdoor experiences for our guests and provide opportunities for staff to develop their skills and advance their careers.
