We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our team at the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center. As a Per Diem Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities- Nursing and Health Care Services: Provide nursing and health care services to clinicians and patients, demonstrating strong nursing knowledge, sound judgment, and assertive decision-making.
- Assessments and Evaluations: Perform nursing visits, assessments, evaluations, and patient education to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer and accurately document immunizations and medications, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Lab Results and Triage: Review lab results, determine next steps for care, and triage walk-in patients and patients over the phone.
- Patient Education: Provide patient education on medication, asthma, healthy eating, and other health-related topics.
- Wound Care and Mental Exams: Provide wound care treatment and perform mental exams, including SLUMS, RUDAS MOCA, and purified protein derivative (PPD) testing.
- Quality Control and Safety: Responsible for quality control of vaccine fridges, crash cart, and oxygen machines, and follow OSHA standards to identify and address potential safety hazards.
- Bilingual Requirement: Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
- Nursing Education and Licensure: Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current MA RN license.
- Certifications and Training: Current BLS certification and ability to work evenings until 8:30 pm and weekend coverage.
