Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team at COFMC. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will provide technical support for the provision of pharmaceutical services under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, co-workers, patients, and the public
  • Process prescriptions and resolve insurance rejections and issues in a timely manner
  • Prepare dosage units for pharmacist review from prescriber's orders, including oral and topical medications
  • Input, prepare, and label medications, verifying expiration dates and lot numbers as applicable
  • Ensure all medication preparation activities are verified by the pharmacist
  • Manage, order, and receive pharmacy supplies in conjunction with pharmacists
  • Maintain a sterile environment during the mixing process of drugs, chemicals, and hazardous substances, and pass inspections
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Technician training or equivalent experience in a pharmacy
  • Technician permit from the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy in good standing
