Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Design Engineer to design, test, and troubleshoot power and analog circuits for land, air, sea, and space-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics design, circuit analysis, and simulation, as well as experience with PCB layout and worst-case analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, test, and troubleshoot power and analog circuits
  • Perform schematic entry, simulation, and analysis of power and analog circuits
  • Guide PCB layout for power and analog circuits
  • Perform worst-case analysis on power and analog circuits
  • Write performance specifications
  • Produce technical documentation, including review materials for customers, performance requirements, test plans, and analysis reports
  • Participate and contribute in technical reviews
  • Interface with multi-disciplinary teams to execute design objectives
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Prior or current experience in the design, test, and troubleshooting of power and analog circuits
  • Experience with PCB layout for power and analog circuits
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience with SPICE, MathCAD, Matlab, Simulink, Allegro, and MentorGraphics tools
  • Practical hands-on experience, including AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion architectures with various topologies (isolated and non-isolated) that meet the power and EMI requirements described under MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, and DO-160
  • Experience performing Worst Case analysis
  • Experience leading teams and project designs
  • H-infinity controls knowledge
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
