Responsibilities- Develop and implement infection prevention and control measures to prevent the spread of infections in our hospitals.
- Conduct surveillance and investigations to identify and address potential sources of infections.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and deliver educational programs and tools on infection prevention and control.
- Report infection surveillance and prevention data to local, state, and federal public health authorities.
- Participate in special studies to identify and evaluate the impact of new products, equipment, and delivery of patient care on infection prevention.
- Certified Certification in Infection Control from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC) preferred.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing preferred.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
