Job Summary

The Central Texas College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach English courses. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for providing effective instruction to students, helping to fulfill the College's goal of providing a quality education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English or Developmental Reading and Writing courses to students
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to improve student outcomes
  • Stay current with developments in the field of English education and incorporate best practices into your teaching
Requirements
  • Masters Degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education including 18 graduate hours in English
  • Three years full-time wage earning teaching experience at the post-secondary level in an appropriate academic discipline
  • Experience with online or technology-enhanced curriculum is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possess a demonstrated knowledge in the subject matter being taught
  • Be able to teach the subject matter effectively and communicate clearly with students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds
  • Computer skills: able to use Word, Blackboard, download and install software, send and receive emails with attachments
