About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Saint Joseph Health System. As a nurse at our organization, you will be responsible for implementing, directing, communicating, and documenting the nursing process in accordance with current established standards of care and the Indiana Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care and advocate for patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, addressing patient problems and needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate and implement patient care.
  • Delegate, supervise, and evaluate care given by other nursing team members.
  • Document nursing assessments, interventions, and evaluations of patient response.
  • Identify potential emergency situations and initiate appropriate responses.
  • Provide patient and family education.
  • Continuously evaluate and modify the plan of care and teaching plans based on patient response.
  • Provide a safe environment by adhering to hospital policies and procedures for isolation techniques, use of restraints, falls prevention, blood transfusions, and safe medication administration.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • Licensure: RN Indiana License. CPR certification on hire or able to attain within 60 days.
  • Experience: None.
