Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Unit team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver world-class care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, including pneumonia, congestive heart failure, and COPD exacerbation.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs to ensure a smooth transition to home or further care.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration given to military RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
