Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team at LUK Inc. in central Massachusetts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Family Navigation Services to families in need, working closely with the Family Center Coordinator to identify and address their needs.

This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires strong relationship-building skills, excellent communication and computer skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human services, preferably with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly valued, particularly in Spanish or other non-English languages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Family Navigation Services to families in need, including identifying and addressing their needs, connecting them to community resources, and evaluating progress toward goals.
  • Work closely with the Family Center Coordinator to develop and implement individualized plans for families.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, treatment teams, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with State Agency Service Coordinators to develop and maintain a supportive web of care for families.
  • Participate in workshops, trainings, and events to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field, or a minimum of five years experience working in the human service field.
  • Minimum of two years experience working with individuals to navigate the education or social service system for special needs/disabilities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, excellent communication and computer skills, and valid driver's license.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, particularly in Spanish or other non-English languages.
