Aircraft Assembler II

Job Summary:
Wencor Group is seeking an experienced Aircraft Assembler II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling various components into small to medium-sized aircraft assemblies using blueprints and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize travelers and work instructions to assemble components without nonconformities.
- Interpret complex aerospace blueprints and schematics.
- Employ the use of fabrication and assembly tools, such as rivet guns, drills, pneumatic grinders, and bucking bars.
- Use various hardware, including shear pins, rivets, hi-locs, Cleco, and safety wire.
- Operate all shop equipment safely.
- Assist in other areas as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- A and P license and certified in rotopeen repairs and cold working is preferred.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Work Environment:
- Works in intermediate noise levels, such as production areas and shop floors.
- Close vision required.
