Our team of distinguished clinicians, educators, and researchers offers diagnosis and treatment in all subspecialties of ophthalmology, including cataracts, corneal disorders, refractive disorders, glaucoma, oculofacial plastic and orbital disorders, and vitreoretinal disorders.

As an ophthalmologist with our department, you will have the opportunity to see patients, teach residents and medical students, participate in academic research, and provide care at various locations throughout Massachusetts and New England. The Comprehensive division at NEEC is a busy service that allows new faculty to quickly establish their desired patient volume.

To be successful in this role, you should possess strong clinical skills, enthusiasm for building a busy practice, commitment to resident and fellow education, and interest in basic or clinical science research. A Massachusetts medical license is also required.

Our ophthalmologists are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and facilities, enabling them to provide superior eye care for patients. The Department features innovative ophthalmic technology to complement our physicians' expertise, putting us on par with the most advanced eye centers anywhere. We facilitate over 90,000 ambulatory care visits a year and perform over 8,000 surgeries a year.
