About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Jones Lang LaSalle. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of our site's HVAC/HVAC-R systems, utilities, and site systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operation of HVAC/HVAC-R systems, including water steam and additional site systems.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment on all systems, with a strong focus on technical expertise in HVAC-R maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Perform multi-skilled tasks, including pipe fitting/plumbing, electrical work, and other related duties.
  • Work out of trade when necessary to perform other work tasks, assist other crafts, and work as a multi-craft mechanic.
  • Manage refrigerants in compliance with NJ and EPA requirements, including maintaining accurate refrigerant usage and inventory records.
  • Monitor the operation and make necessary adjustments on heat exchangers, HVAC systems, Centrifugal Chillers, Cooling towers, VAV systems, electrical, emergency backup systems, and hot water systems.
  • Install and repair plumbing/piping/tubing, wire single and three-phase motors, run conduit, pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and PM VFD (variable frequency drives) on HVAC units and pumps.
  • Perform routine facility repairs, including sheetrock, patching, caulking, painting, lock repair, and piping.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or state equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC-R maintenance and repair.
  • Universal certification (Refrigeration) required.
  • Experience with Siemens or Honeywell BAS systems a plus.
  • Ability to work in a customer service environment interacting with clients.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
  • Proficient with computer-based systems and programs, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. You will be required to work in all types of weather conditions and be available for on-call work. Off-hours shifts, evening, night, and weekend work may be required.
