Scheduled Hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Facility InformationHospital: Parkridge East
Unit Details:
- Number of Beds: 30
- Patient Ratios: 1:6
- Staffing: Includes unit secretaries and 2-3 techs per shift, along with a clinical coordinator, charge nurse, manager, and director.
Equipment Utilized: Wound vac, heparin gtt, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanner, feeding pump, telemetry.
Documentation System: Editech
Scheduling and Floating PoliciesNote that block scheduling is not guaranteed. There will be rotations every other weekend and holiday. Floating may occur between 2 North and 2 West units.
Patient Experience ExpectationsWe value a positive attitude and the ability to meet the needs of patients and their families, including service recovery and escalation of issues through the appropriate channels.
Certifications and Skills Required- Mandatory Skills: IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, cardiac rhythms.
- Advanced Skills: Cardiac rhythm interpretation.
- Procedures Performed: Lab draws and IV starts.
Dress Code: Navy scrubs are required; fleece or sweatshirts are not permitted.
