Fleet Technician

Penn Power Group is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on trailers, as well as routine maintenance and federal inspections.

• Performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on trailers
• Routine maintenance, federal inspections, and accurately recording time, parts, and PM inspection checklists
• Trailer repair, minor to major body rebuilding and repair
• Performing prescribed preventative maintenance services
• Diagnosing and identifying vehicle and equipment malfunctions, ABS systems, and determining corrective actions to be taken through tests and inspections
• Tests vehicles and equipment after repairs, verifying completion of repairs to ensure a quality service deliverable
• Welding frames, replacing rails, panels, sheet metal, and various equipment components on trailers

• Positivity, adaptability, creativity, and energy
• Superior ability to fill out forms and charts
• Superior skill and ability to utilize computer-driven vehicle diagnostic software
• Considerable ability to perform vehicle and equipment overhaul and repair safely, effectively, and efficiently
• ASE certifications
• Trailer body repair technical degree and/or training
