We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Paraprofessional Educator to join our team at Mount Prospect Academy. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist teachers in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of our students.
- Provide individualized support to students, including academic instruction and assessment, as outlined by the teacher or Individual Education Plan (IEP).
- Supervise students during transitional times, such as lunch and arrival/departure, to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Participate in behavioral interventions and modeling ARC principles to promote positive student behavior.
- Assist with substitute lessons and provide coverage for teachers as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including attendance records, incident reports, and data entry.
- Collaborate with the education team to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
- 21 years of age
- Authorized to Work in the United States
- Satisfactory background check
- Associates Degree or Higher preferred
- Prefer two years' experience interacting with children/youth
