Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group is seeking a highly experienced Nuclear Power Systems Design Expert to join our team. As a senior member of our project team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical system upgrades and modifications for nuclear power plants.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing detailed engineering designs, calculations, and specifications for electrical system upgrades and modifications.
- Collaborating with project team members from other engineering disciplines to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical systems through effective procedure development and implementation.
- Leveraging your expertise to lead bid review evaluation processes for equipment vendors.
- Cultivating strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- An electrical engineering degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on nuclear power plant design and operations.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing electrical systems for nuclear power plants.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
