Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting owners, contractors, and subcontractors across various sectors within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, engaging in both proactive and forensic consulting projects. Responsibilities include:
- Claims and Litigation Services:
- Manage, review, and analyze project documentation.
- Assist in change order assessments.
- Conduct legal and industry standards research.
- Support construction defect evaluations.
- Assist in quantifying damages and delays.
- Analyze and prepare construction claims.
- Conduct productivity assessments.
- Perform risk analysis and document recommendations.
- Evaluate project planning, costs, and schedules.
- Prepare reports and presentations for expert witness use during mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control for reports and related documentation.
- Proactive Services:
- Develop and manage Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules and project controls.
- Generate and assess construction cost estimates.
- Review labor and equipment productivity.
- Conduct risk evaluations.
- Manage contractors and other consultants.
- Perform value engineering to achieve long-term savings for clients.
- Prepare reports on findings and recommendations as needed.
- Develop and deliver construction and project training programs.
- Communication:
- Effectively communicate with clients and internal staff through various channels.
- Project Management:
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects while meeting established goals and deadlines.
- Contribute to the development of company standards, procedures, and processes.
- Participate in strategic business review meetings.
- Ensure that all work products meet the highest quality standards.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A Master's degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field; a Bachelor's degree may be acceptable with six to ten years of relevant experience.
- Two to eight years of experience in engineering, heavy scheduling, cost estimating, and/or litigation within the construction industry, depending on the level of the position.
