About the Role

SVA Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Assurance team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality accounting and auditing services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general accounting and auditing tasks, including testing financial statement accounts and preparing financial statements.
  • Assist with the preparation of management reports and other financial documents.
  • Record transactions in journals and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Meet budget and time allotments for each phase of engagement.
  • Complete administrative tasks and maintain confidentiality of client information.
Professional Development
  • Work with senior staff to develop and execute a career path.
  • Utilize internal and external learning opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in projects and engage in community involvement.
  • Prepare for and take the CPA examination, as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Internship experience in public accounting preferred.
  • Meets requirements to take the CPA Examination preferred.
