Catering Server

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Catering Server to join our team at the Science Museum of Minnesota. As a Catering Server, you will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders, delivering items to dining room guests, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room and take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others.

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
• Ability to operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Ability to work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
