Driving Instructor

Coastline Academy is a leading provider of behind-the-wheel driver education in the United States. Founded in 2017, we have grown to become the largest company of our kind, with a presence in 7 states and a commitment to transparency, efficiency, and people-first values.

We are seeking a skilled and patient Driving Instructor to join our team. As a Driving Instructor, you will be responsible for educating and advising students on the fundamentals of operating a car behind the wheel. You will work in a company-provided vehicle, using a dashboard camera to record lessons for the safety of both you and your student.

• Teach practical skills related to all aspects of driving, including emergency situations.
• Provide instruction on the rules of the road and help students develop confidence in their driving skills.
• Document and report on students' progress, maintaining timely communication with your supervisor and support team.
• Maintain professionalism with students and fellow team members, attending team meetings for updates and ongoing development.

• A genuine passion for helping people learn and a valid State Driver's License in the state you wish to work in.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, with 10 years of legal driving experience and a strong safety mindset.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check, with a strong reasoning ability and ability to give clear instruction, coach, and communicate effectively.

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle, with good vision and hearing in all weather conditions.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, touch, and feel, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
